The Basketball program provides youth in grades Pre-K to 8th the opportunity to learn the sport of basketball. PreK-2nd grade participants will be taught fundamentals of the game through skills session composed of fun drills and brief scrimmages. 3rd-8th grade participants participate in the Southeast NH Recreational Travel Basketball League, where teams will practice and play games against opponents in the league. Emphasis is placed upon recreation philosophies including teamwork and sportsmanship at all levels.Shooting Stars: *Shooting Stars PreK basketball will not be offered for the 2026 season due to construction going on at the Recreation Department; Shooting Stars will return in 2027!Small Shots: 5 year old program for children in the Kindergarten age group.Grades 1-2 Session A: Earlier option for the 1st & 2nd grade Saturday morning program; will run from 9:45am-10:45am.Grades 1-2 Session B: Later option for the 1st & 2nd grade Saturday morning program; will run from 11:00am-12:00pm.Grades 3-8: Girls and Boys travel rec basketball! 7 weeks of games with a jamboree to send off the season. Drop-In Basketball: Early Spring option for more basketball. The Barrington Yoga program offers a soothing fitness outlet to adults of all ages. Utilizing the power of breath and controlled movement, participants will work to improve flexibility, decrease stress, and conquer personal fitness goals, while building new relationships along the way. Instructors are able to adapt certain techniques and poses to combat personal hurdles and to ensure all individuals get the most from their yoga experience.
